In 1972 a new Carrera model with reference 1553 N was added to the portfolio with the new Calibre 15 movement. The N stands for 'noir' with the dark blue dial with contrasting silver subdial. The Caliber 15 Carrera did not achieve substantial volumes therefore pieces with this stunning and creative dial are seldom offered on the collectors' market.
This Carrera shows hardly any signs of use, is unpolished and with type numbers still visible between the lugs. Comes with blue racing strap and retro Heuer buckle. A superb 1970s look, a nice chronograph, a true treasure on the wrist!
