The reference 1563 had the same case as the reference 1163V and most often the cases were stamped with 1163 V. The major difference is the caliber 15 with the second hand at 10 o`clock and a 30 minute counter at 3 o`clock position. This watch was originally thought to be a prototype, one that was possibly conceived with the idea of being used at the Le Mans Speedway races and the night use, hence the larger lume areas. Nowadays, these Autavias are very rare and one is exposed in the TAG Heuer Museum. The Autavia reference 1563 with Exoctic Dial is amongst the most desirabel and rarest Heuer models.
Case is unpolished and in overall very good condition. Original caseback and original crown and pushers. Dial is nice and clean. Luminor dots material is intact and original. Bezel is somewhat faded giving it a nice vintage look. Movement is running and the date function performs correctly. Comes with a heuer signed steel bracelet.
